Lifetime Achievement Award: Ken Wold

This year's Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by KM Performances Horses, goes to Ken Wold — a Wilton, California trainer whose career has spanned more than five decades and left an indelible mark on the reined cow horse industry. A former Cal Poly San Luis Obispo rodeo athlete, Wold shifted from roping to horse training after a career-ending accident led him into the Equine Reproduction Program, setting him on the path to becoming one of the sport's most respected horsemen. Since building his first training facility in 1972, he has earned the 1998 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity Open Hackamore Championship, World and Championship titles across multiple breed associations, and, in 2023, entry into the NRCHA Million Dollar Rider Club aboard Brother Jackson.

Beyond the show pen, Wold has shaped the industry as a two-term NRCHA President and 30-year board member, an NRCHA Hall of Famer, an AQHA Professional Horseman, and a clinician who has taught horsemen across Chile, Canada, and Italy.
